Under the supervision of the Deputy Friend of the court, performs a variety of clerical and accounting processing functions involved in processing and enforcement of domestic relations cases. Activities include processing court orders, petitions, orders to show cause, bench warrants, scheduling referee and court hearings, preparing files for court and referee hearings; preparing recommendations from referee hearings; obtaining personal and case information from clients; screening telephone calls; providing information to clients about case status and court policies and procedures; receipting child support payments into the computer system, entering case information into the computer; maintaining records of active Friend of the Court cases, making account adjustments and modifications as indicated and aid in medical enforcement.

Education: High school graduation or equivalent. Coursework in bookkeeping or accounting and computer experience is desired.
Experience: Six months of training or experience in a bookkeeping, court or related office setting. Ability to utilize and operate computers and software applications, as well as other general office equipment.
Qualifications:
Working knowledge of privacy requirements related to court records.
Ability to communicate and de-escalate clients in various emotional states who may be verbally abusive or hostile.
Ability to interact positively and objectively with coworkers, officers of the court, clients, attorneys, and members of the general public with varying levels of communication skills.
Ability to utilize word processing software and operate computers and other general office equipment.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Knowledge of and skill needed to perform state system computer application.
Knowledge of how to enter and retrieve information from computer systems.
Knowledge of Windows programs.
Excellent customer service skills.
Fast and accurate keyboarding skills.
