Security and QHSE Lead

Job Summary:

The Security and HSE Lead is responsible for developing, implementing, and overseeing security and health, safety, and environmental (HSE) protocols within the warehouse. This role ensures the safety of personnel, protection of assets, compliance with legal and company standards, and promotes a safety-conscious culture across the facility.

Key Responsibilities:

Security Management:

  • Develop and implement security policies and procedures to safeguard warehouse assets, inventory, and personnel.
  • Oversee access control, surveillance systems, and security personnel to prevent theft, vandalism, and unauthorized access.
  • Conduct regular security audits and risk assessments.
  • Coordinate with local law enforcement and emergency services as needed.
  • Investigate security incidents and prepare reports with recommended corrective actions.

HSE Management:

  • Develop, implement, and monitor HSE policies in compliance with local laws and international standards.
  • Conduct risk assessments and safety audits across the warehouse operations, Including Powered Industrial Trucks (Forklift) / VNA.
  • Promote a culture of safety awareness through training, toolbox talks, and safety campaigns.
  • Ensure proper handling, storage, and disposal of hazardous materials.
  • Investigate accidents and near-misses and implement corrective measures to prevent recurrence.
  • Maintain HSE documentation, records, and compliance reports.

Team Leadership:

  • Lead, train, and supervise security, Warehouse Supervisor, Facility Manager and HSE team members.
  • Foster a safety-first mindset among all warehouse employees.
  • Coordinate HSE and security training programs.

Other Responsibilities:

  • Ensure emergency preparedness plans are in place and regularly tested.
  • Monitor and ensure compliance with all applicable regulations and standards.
  • Collaborate with other departments to improve operational safety and security.
  • Prepare and present reports on security and HSE performance to management.

Qualifications & Skills:

  • Bachelor’s degree in security management, Occupational Health & Safety, or related field.
  • Proven experience (minimum 5 years) in security and HSE management within a warehouse or logistics environment.
  • Strong knowledge of local safety, health, environmental regulations, and security standards.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to conduct risk assessments and incident investigations.
  • Certifications such as NEBOSH, IOSH, CSP, or equivalent are preferred.
  • Proficiency in using security and safety management systems and MS Office.

Working Conditions:

  • Primarily on-site at the warehouse facility.
  • May require occasional after-hours or weekend work.
  • Exposure to warehouse environment with physical activity and safety risks.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: AED7,000.00 - AED10,000.00 per month
