Job Description

As a Security Officer - Driver Response Patrol in Sterling, VA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Tech/Media/Telecom, and more. Join Allied Universal at a leading tech and data center location as an unarmed patrol officer in a driving post. You will conduct routine vehicle and foot patrols, support access control and badge checks, and respond to incidents with clear communication and strong customer service. What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to site personnel, contractors, and/or visitors by following security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a high-technology facility.
• Conduct regular and random foot and/or vehicle patrols of buildings, equipment areas, loading docks, and perimeter routes; document observed conditions and report unusual activity.
• Monitor access control points and alarm and/or camera systems; verify credentials, maintain visitor and delivery logs, and help to deter unauthorized entry.
• Respond to incidents, medical calls, and/or critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner; communicate with site contacts and emergency services as needed.
• Complete daily activity reports and incident documentation, preserve observations for follow-up, and support other site security-related operations as assigned.

Minimum Requirements:

• A valid driver's license is required in the state where the job is located.
• CPR Certification is preferred.
• CPR/First Aid is preferred.
• Access Control/Badge Experience is preferred.
• Customer Service Experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
