Job Description


As a Security Officer - Healthcare Foot Patrol in Baltimore, MD, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Healthcare, and more. As an unarmed Patrol Officer with Allied Universal at a healthcare location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, complete routine rounds, and maintain a visible presence that helps reduce security-related incidents. You will communicate clearly with staff, patients, and visitors, support access control and incident response, and document activity using computer and/or tablet tools. What You'll Do:

  • Provide customer service to patients, visitors, and staff by following site-specific procedures, access control practices, and other security-related post orders.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the healthcare facility and surrounding perimeter, observing for unusual activity, hazards, and/or policy violations and reporting findings.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, coordinating with clinical staff and/or local emergency responders as needed.
  • Monitor entrances, corridors, parking areas, and other assigned areas, helping to deter unauthorized access, loitering, and/or disruptive behavior.
  • Complete shift activity logs and incident reports, communicate updates to site leadership and/or Allied Universal supervision, and assist with emergency response activities when appropriate.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Experience working in a hospital environment with vaccines is required.
  • Experience working in a hospital morgue environment is required.
  • Ability to restrain individuals is required.
  • CPR certification is preferred.
  • Being comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
