Job Description

As a Security Officer - Unarmed Driver Rounds in Sterling, VA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Tech/Media/Telecom, and more. Join Allied Universal at a leading tech and data center location as an unarmed, driving patrol officer. You will conduct routine patrols of assigned areas, stay highly visible to help reduce security-related incidents, and support access points while providing helpful customer service and clear communication. You will work with a team that values agility, reliability, innovation, and integrity, using teamwork to keep operations running smoothly.

What You'll Do:

Provide customer service to personnel and visitors by carrying out site-specific security-related procedures, access control processes, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including documenting details and communicating updates to site leadership and/or Allied Universal management.
Conduct regular and random patrols of buildings, data hall exteriors, parking areas, loading docks, and perimeter routes to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or policy violations.
Monitor alarms, cameras, and other monitoring systems where assigned, and initiate appropriate notifications and response steps based on site procedures.
Complete routine reports, incident logs, and shift handoffs using required tools and/or platforms, while maintaining professional interaction in a high-tech location.

Minimum Requirements:

A valid driver's license is required in the state where the job is located.
A Guard Card and/or license is preferred.
Being comfortable using a computer and/or tablet is preferred.
Access control and/or badge experience is preferred.
Customer service experience is preferred.
Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
