Job Description

As a Security Officer - Unarmed Patrol Gate Checks in Summit, NJ, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Commercial Real Estate, and more. As an Unarmed Patrol Officer at a commercial real estate location, you will make routine rounds, stay highly visible to help to deter incidents, and watch for security-related concerns such as unusual activity or maintenance issues. You will greet tenants and visitors, provide clear communication, and document observations with attention to detail. What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to tenants, employees, visitors and/or contractors by following Allied Universal security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a commercial property location.
• Control access at entrances and designated points by checking identification, issuing visitor passes, directing deliveries, and documenting entries and exits per site requirements.
• Conduct regular and random foot and/or vehicle patrols of interior spaces, common areas, parking areas, loading docks, and the perimeter to help to deter unwanted activity and identify maintenance or policy concerns.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, coordinating with site contacts and local emergency services when required.
• Complete timely reports and logs, communicate observations during shift turnover, and monitor cameras and/or other systems as assigned to support security-related operations.

Minimum Requirements:

• A state, county, or city issued security license is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
