Selections Manager | Design Associate

ABOUT THE ROLE
We're hiring, and this is a really important role for our studio.
Most people think residential design is about finishes and styling. In reality, it's hundreds of coordinated decisions that determine how a home actually gets built.
As our projects continue to grow, we're looking for a Selections Manager | Design Associate to support the behind-the-scenes work that keeps projects organized, documented, and moving forward.
Molly by Design is a residential design studio specializing in custom homes, renovations, and builder partnerships. Our work sits at the intersection of design, construction, and project coordination.
This role begins with selections management, documentation, and project coordination. Over time, there is an opportunity to grow into deeper involvement with design decisions, space planning, drafting support, and increased project responsibility.

ESPECIALLY IMPORTANT
We're looking for someone who is excited to continue learning and growing.
Chief Architect experience is a plus, but a genuine interest in developing proficiency over time is highly valued. We appreciate team members who are willing to learn independently, explore tutorials and training resources, and continually improve their skills.
WORK ENVIRONMENT
Molly by Design operates from a professional home-based studio in Maidens, Virginia.
This is an in-person position during scheduled working hours.
HOURS + GROWTH
This position will begin at approximately 8–10 hours per week during the initial training and onboarding period through mid-July.
Following onboarding, hours are expected to increase to approximately 20–30 hours per week as responsibilities grow and the candidate becomes more integrated into project work.
The exact schedule and growth trajectory will depend on experience, performance, and business needs, but we are looking for someone interested in growing with the company over time.
