The Senior Accountant is responsible for overseeing day-to-day accounting operations, ensuring accuracy and compliance with accounting standards, tax regulations, and company policies. The role involves preparing financial statements, managing audits, supervising junior staff, and supporting strategic financial decisions.

Key Responsibilities:
- Manage and oversee daily accounting operations including accounts payable, receivable, general ledger, and bank reconciliations.
- Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
- Ensure compliance with statutory requirements, tax filings (GST, TDS, Income Tax, etc.), and regulatory guidelines.
- Assist in budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis to support management decisions.
- Coordinate and manage internal and external audits.
- Monitor and analyze accounting data to produce accurate financial reports.
- Develop and implement effective accounting processes and internal controls.
- Supervise, guide, and train junior accountants and accounting staff.
- Support cash flow management and treasury operations.
- Liaise with auditors, tax consultants, banks, and other stakeholders.
Qualifications & Skills:
- Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
- CA/CPA/ICWA qualification preferred (if applicable).
- 5–8 years of progressive accounting experience, including supervisory responsibilities.
- Strong knowledge of accounting standards, taxation, and compliance.
- Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., Tally, SAP, QuickBooks, or ERP systems).
- Advanced MS Excel and analytical skills.
- Excellent attention to detail, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
- Ability to manage deadlines and work under pressure.
- Strong communication and leadership skills.
