Kargo Box Shipping and Logistics, a fast-growing provider of shipping and logistics solutions in Kuwait, is seeking a Senior Accountant to join our dynamic team. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced accounting professional to play a key role in managing and overseeing the financial operations of the company.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage day-to-day accounting operations including accounts payable, receivable, general ledger, and payroll.
• Prepare and analyze financial statements, reports, and budgets.
• Ensure compliance with local tax regulations, company policies, and international accounting standards.
• Oversee month-end and year-end closing processes.
• Coordinate with auditors, banks, etc.
• Provide financial insights to support management decision-making.
• Supervise and mentor junior accounting staff.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (CPA/ACCA preferred).
• Minimum 5+ years of accounting experience, with at least 2 years in a senior role.
• Strong knowledge of accounting principles, financial reporting, and local tax regulations.
• Proficiency in accounting software (ERP systems preferred) and MS Excel.
• Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
• Experience in the shipping, logistics, or trading industry is an advantage.
