Senior Accountant

Key Responsibilities:

• Financial Reporting:
• Prepare and review monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements for the company and its branches.
• Ensure all financial records are accurate and in compliance with applicable laws and accounting standards.
• Coordinate the preparation of consolidated financial reports for the group, ensuring consistency across multiple locations.
• Accounting Operations:
• Supervise daily accounting operations, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, and general ledger maintenance.
• Oversee the reconciliation of bank statements, company credit cards, and inter-company accounts.
• Manage and review journal entries, month-end, and year-end closing processes to ensure timely and accurate reporting.
• Internal Controls & Compliance:
• Ensure adherence to company policies, procedures, and internal controls for financial processes.
• Identify areas of potential risk or inefficiencies in financial operations and implement corrective actions.
• Assist in external audits and prepare necessary documentation for auditors.
• Budgeting and Forecasting:
• Collaborate with department heads and management to prepare annual budgets, forecasts, and financial projections.
• Monitor budget variances and provide explanations and recommendations for cost control or performance improvements.
• Tax Compliance:
• Manage tax-related matters, including VAT, income tax, and other applicable taxes for the company and its branches.
• Ensure timely filing and submission of tax returns and reports, while ensuring compliance with all local and international tax laws.
• Team Leadership & Development:
• Supervise and mentor a team of junior accountants, providing guidance, training, and performance evaluations.
• Assist in the development and implementation of accounting policies and procedures to improve operational efficiency.
• Financial Analysis & Strategic Support:
• Provide financial analysis and insights to management for decision-making and strategic planning.
• Assist in the evaluation of business performance, highlighting key financial metrics and trends

Pay: AED5,000.00 - AED6,000.00 per month
