Senior Accountant

JOB PURPOSE:

The IFRS 17 Reporting Specialist is responsible for assisting with the preparation of regulatory filings as well as the financial statements, footnotes, and management discussion and analysis. The person is also responsible for the coordination and execution of the external reporting process, including coordination with external auditors. The Reporting Specialist will work with various departments within the Company, representing Financial Reporting to ensure that needs and requirements are properly communicated and achieved. As a result, this position requires strong inter-personal and communication skills. The ability to manage multiple tasks and work under time pressure are also critical to this role in addition to a strong background in accounting and USGAAP/IFRS requirements.

This role requires advanced skills in automation and data transformation, particularly leveraging MS Office automation tools to streamline IFRS 17 reporting processes. The successful candidate will drive the development of automated templates, dashboards, and workflows to enhance data accuracy, reduce manual effort, and improve reporting cycle efficiency.

The successful candidate will play a key role in maintaining the integrity of our financial statements and supporting our commitment to transparency and regulatory compliance.
