Overview
We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Senior Accountant to join our dynamic finance team. Duties
- Prepare, analyze, and review financial statements in accordance with GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles) and IFRS (International Financial Reporting Standards).
- Conduct detailed balance sheet reconciliations and account analysis to ensure accuracy and completeness of financial data.
- Manage accounts payable and accounts receivable processes, ensuring timely processing and compliance with company policies.
- Oversee general ledger accounting activities, including journal entries, month-end closing procedures, and audit preparations.
- Perform cash management duties such as forecasting cash flows, monitoring liquidity, and optimizing working capital.
- Support regulatory reporting requirements for governmental agencies and non-profit organizations by preparing necessary documentation.
- Utilize accounting software such as QuickBooks, Sage intacct or Salesforce platforms to maintain accurate financial records and facilitate efficient workflows.
- Assist with internal controls related to SOX (Sarbanes-Oxley Act) compliance and implement best practices for technical accounting issues.
- Collaborate on budgeting processes, financial analysis, and forecasting to support organizational growth and stability.
- Lead or participate in audits by providing detailed documentation, reconciliations, and explanations of financial transactions.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; CPA or equivalent certification preferred.
- Extensive experience in corporate accounting, governmental accounting, or non-profit accounting environments.
- Strong knowledge of GAAP, IFRS standards, and regulatory reporting requirements.
- Proven expertise in double-entry bookkeeping, balance sheet reconciliation, account reconciliation, debits & credits management.
- Proficiency with accounting software such as QuickBooks, Sage, Xero, or similar financial management tools.
- Familiarity with SOX compliance procedures and technical accounting concepts.
- Excellent financial acumen with the ability to interpret complex financial data accurately.
- Experience with payroll processing and cash management strategies.
- Strong analytical skills combined with effective communication abilities for financial report writing and presentation purposes.
