ACCA Qualified / ACCA Affiliate / Part Qualified (preferred)

Minimum 5 years of experience in a UK/Canada-based accounting firm (UK experience strongly preferred)

Strong knowledge of UK accounting, VAT, and tax regulations

Proven experience in managing teams and supervising junior staff

Proficiency in accounting software such as QuickBooks Online, Xero, and other cloud-based systems

Job Responsibilities

Practice & Team Management: Oversee day-to-day operations of the accounting practice

Lead, manage, and supervise a team of accountants and junior staff

Review work performed by team members to ensure accuracy, compliance, and quality standards

Provide training, guidance, and performance feedback to team members

Allocate work and manage workloads to ensure timely completion of tasks

Accounting & Client Services: Manage bookkeeping, VAT returns, and accounting records for UK-based clients (SMEs, contractors, and businesses)

Prepare and review management accounts, financial reports, and supporting schedules

Ensure accurate maintenance of client financial records across QuickBooks Online, Xero, and other systems

Handle bank and credit card reconciliations and resolve discrepancies

Systems & Process Management: Oversee integration and usage of accounting software (QuickBooks, Xero, etc.) with internal systems

Maintain and standardize Chart of Accounts across clients and platforms

Improve and streamline internal workflows using tools such as Karbon, Asana, and ClickUp

Ensure efficient documentation and process adherence across the team
Project & Financial Management

Monitor project accounting and provide financial insights to support business decisions

Ensure timely reporting and delivery of client work within deadlines

Support senior management in financial planning and operational improvements
Working Hours: 2:00 AM – 10:00 PM (UK Shift)
