Senior Accountant

Senior AccountantRole Objective

The Senior Accountant is responsible for managing the company’s full spectrum of accounting functions, including cash flow management, accounts finalization, invoicing, receivables and payables, audits, landlord database, site profitability analysis, inter-company reconciliations, budgeting, VAT and corporate tax returns.
They will also review and correct errors made by junior accountants and ensure the accounting system is accurate and compliant. The role requires a strong accounting background, analytical skills, and the ability to perform under pressure.

Key Responsibilities

1. Cash Flow & Accounts Management

  • Oversee daily cash flow and ensure compliance with financial regulations.
  • Coordinate with departments to maintain accurate records.
  • Handle month-end and year-end closing, including journal entries, reconciliations, and accruals.

2. Invoicing & Receivables/Payables

  • Prepare and issue invoices promptly.
  • Monitor receivables, follow up on outstanding payments, and resolve discrepancies.
  • Review and reconcile payables; schedule vendor payments.

3. Audits & Compliance

  • Prepare financial statements for internal and external audits.
  • Provide required documentation and ensure compliance with audit requirements.
  • Submit accurate and timely VAT and Corporate Tax returns.

4. Landlord & Lease Management

  • Maintain a database of lease agreements, rent payments, and related terms.
  • Ensure timely updates and coordination with relevant stakeholders.

5. Site Profitability & Inter-Company Reconciliation

  • Analyze profitability across different sites and recommend improvements.
  • Perform inter-company reconciliations, resolving discrepancies efficiently.

6. Management Reporting (MIS Reports)

  • Monthly financial statements (P&L, Balance Sheet, Cash Flow).
  • Budget vs. Actual and Variance Analysis reports.
  • Receivables & Payables Aging Reports.
  • Sales, Revenue, and Expense reports.
  • Cash Flow Forecasts and KPI dashboards.
  • Capital Expenditure and Tax Compliance reports.

7. Additional Duties

  • Maintain internal financial controls and review journal entries.
  • Prepare payroll/WPS files.
  • Process employee expense reports.
  • Manage petty cash and certified vouchers.

Job Requirements

  • Master’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (ACCA/CPA preferred).
  • Minimum 5 years of proven accounting & taxation experience (UAE experience preferred).
  • Strong knowledge of IFRS, VAT, and Corporate Tax laws.
  • Proficiency in ERP systems (SAP, Oracle, Sage, Tally) and advanced Excel skills.
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and presentation skills.
  • Strong communication skills and ability to work independently under deadlines.
  • Experience in Signage & Media industry is an advantage but not mandatory.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: From AED5,000.00 per month
