About the Role

SMB Services is seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Senior Accountant for a US-based client. The role involves managing end-to-end accounting operations, ensuring financial accuracy, and delivering timely financial insights to support business decision-making.

This position requires strong technical accounting expertise, hands-on ERP experience, and the ability to work independently while coordinating with international (US-based) stakeholders. Key Responsibilities

Financial Accounting & Reporting

• Prepare and review monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements
• Maintain the general ledger, including journal entries, accruals, and adjustments
• Ensure compliance with applicable accounting standards and internal policies
• Perform account reconciliations and resolve discrepancies efficiently

Tax & Regulatory Support

• Assist in preparation and review of federal, state, and indirect tax filings
• Support compliance with US tax and statutory requirements
• Coordinate with external auditors, tax consultants, and regulatory authorities
• Maintain accurate documentation for audits and compliance reviews

Systems & Process Management

• Use ERP systems (SAP or equivalent) for accounting transactions and reporting
• Support improvements in accounting processes, internal controls, and reporting efficiency
• Assist in system audits, data validation, and control reviews

Business Support & Analysis

• Provide financial insights and reports to support management decision-making
• Assist in budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams on cost control and financial planning initiatives

Requirements

• ACCA / CA (Part Qualified or Finalist preferred) or Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in Accounting or Finance
• 4–6 years of experience in accounting, audit, or tax roles
• Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial reporting standards
• Experience with ERP systems (SAP or similar) is a plus
• US Tax experience is mandatory
