Senior Accountant

• Perform asset reconciliations and maintain fixed asset register
• Prepare and review management accounts (monthly reporting packs)
• Handle bank, supplier, and customer reconciliations
• Manage and submit VAT returns in compliance with UK regulations
• Ensure full VAT compliance (input/output VAT, adjustments, audits)
• Monitor and manage cash flow, including forecasting
• Oversee accounts payable and receivable functions
• Prepare accruals, prepayments, and journal entries
• Assist in year-end accounts and audit process
• Maintain accurate financial records in accounting systems (Xero, Sage, QuickBooks)

Requirements:

• ACCA / ACA / CIMA qualified or finalist
• 2-3 years of UK accounting experience
• Strong hands-on experience in VAT filing & compliance
• Experience in management reporting & reconciliations
• Good understanding of cash flow management
• Proficiency in Excel and accounting software
• Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills
