Senior Accountant

Job Summary

We are a local manufacturer seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Senior Accountant to join our team. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in corporate accounting, including GAAP compliance, financial analysis, and the use of various accounting software. This role offers an opportunity to contribute to the financial integrity and operational efficiency of our organization, supporting both internal and external reporting functions. The Senior Accountant will oversee complex accounting processes, ensure accurate financial data entry, and assist with audits and compliance requirements.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and analyze financial statements in accordance with GAAP and regulatory requirements, including balance sheet reconciliation, and account analysis.
• Manage general ledger accounting, including journal entries, account reconciliations, and month-end and year-end closing procedures.
• Perform account reconciliation and general ledger reconciliation regularly to ensure accuracy.
• Support budgeting, forecasting, cash flow analysis, and financial modeling activities to aid in financial planning.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams on benefits administration and HR-related financial processes.
• Utilize technical accounting skills to support complex financial projects and reporting needs.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting.
• At least four years of manufacturing experience.
• Strong computer skills with proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook), and accounting software.
• Strong analysis skills with the ability to interpret complex financial data accurately.
• Excellent data entry skills along with meticulous attention to detail for account reconciliation tasks.
• Strong organizational skills combined with the ability to prioritize multiple tasks effectively in a fast-paced environment.
