Senior Accountant

Company & Position Summary

We have partnered with a well-established construction contractor headquartered in Western New York. The organization has successfully delivered projects across the eastern U.S. and several interior states and is known for strong project execution and operational expertise.

The company employs several hundred skilled professionals and maintains a large fleet of modern heavy equipment. By utilizing advanced technologies such as GPS surveying and grade control systems, the organization emphasizes efficiency, precision, and quality. Its headquarters features state-of-the-art facilities that support project operations, leadership, and administrative functions.

This is a full-time, onsite opportunity for a Senior Accountant within the construction industry, based in the greater Buffalo, New York area.

Responsibilities

• Maintaining accurate financial records.
• Preparing and managing budgets.
• Overseeing accounts payable and receivable.
• Producing financial reports
• Ensuring compliance with applicable financial regulations.
• Works closely with project management and operations teams to support cost tracking, financial analysis, and forecasting.

Education

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; professional certification (e.g., CPA) preferred

Experience

• Prior experience in construction or a related industry is highly desirable
• Experience with budgeting, forecasting, and cost control

• Proficiency with accounting software, data entry, and financial reporting
• Strong understanding of financial compliance, tax preparation, and regulatory standards
• Excellent analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills
