Senior Accountant / Accountant

Job description:

Seeking a highly experienced Senior Accountant to manage and oversee the company’s financial operations, ensure compliance with UAE VAT and Corporate Tax regulations, and support business decision-making through accurate financial reporting and analysis.

The Senior Accountant will supervise day-to-day accounting activities, support financial planning, and coordinate closely with the Finance & Administration Manager to ensure efficient financial management and compliance.

Key Responsibilities

• Supervise daily accounting operations including general ledger, accounts payable, accounts receivable, and bank reconciliations.
• Manage month-end and year-end closing processes ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
• Prepare and review financial statements, management reports, and variance analysis.
• Ensure compliance with UAE VAT regulations and Corporate Tax requirements.
• Assist in the preparation of budgets, forecasts, and financial planning reports.
• Monitor cash flow, working capital, and liquidity requirements.
• Oversee inventory accounting, cost allocation, and stock valuation.
• Maintain and strengthen internal controls, financial policies, and accounting procedures.
• Coordinate with external auditors, banks, and regulatory authorities.
• Support the Finance Manager in financial strategy, reporting, and compliance matters.
• Provide guidance and support to junior accounting staff and assist in team supervision.

Qualifications & Skills

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
• Professional certification such as CA, CPA, CMA, or ACCA is preferred.
• Minimum 10 years of accounting experience, preferably with UAE experience.
• Strong knowledge of UAE VAT, Corporate Tax, and financial regulations.
• Experience in project accounting, trading, or manufacturing sectors is an advantage.
• Hands-on experience with ERP systems (SAP experience is a plus).
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
• Excellent leadership, communication, and reporting skills.
• Ability to work under pressure and meet financial reporting deadlines.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: AED5,000.00 - AED8,000.00 per month
