Position Overview

We are seeking a Senior Accountant / Accounting Systems Lead to lead the deployment and long‑term ownership of our new accounting platform built on Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central.

This position requires a strong to expert user of Business Central who has successfully implemented the system in a production environment. The role combines hands‑on accounting responsibilities with system design, integration, and process optimization.

You will work closely with internal technical teams to integrate Business Central with existing home‑grown ERP tools and Ramp, which is used for accounts payable and corporate expenses.

Key Responsibilities
Accounting Systems & Implementation
Lead or co‑lead the implementation of Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central
Configure and maintain chart of accounts, dimensions, posting groups, and workflows
Ensure system design aligns with GAAP and operational needs
Integrations & Automation
Partner with technical teams to integrate Business Central with:
Custom / home‑grown ERP systems
Ramp for AP and expense processing
Validate data flows, approvals, and posting accuracy
Identify automation opportunities to reduce manual work and improve controls
Accounting Operations
Support general ledger, reconciliations, and month‑end close
Review and prepare financial statements
Maintain internal controls and audit readiness
Ongoing Ownership
Act as long‑term owner of Business Central
Document accounting processes and system configurations
Train and support accounting users as the organization grows
Required Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance
Strong to expert‑level experience with Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central
Demonstrated successful deployment of Business Central
Solid understanding of U.S. GAAP
Experience working with accounting systems integrations
Preferred Qualifications
Experience with Ramp or similar AP/expense platforms
Experience integrating ERP systems (custom or commercial)
Background in multi‑entity or operational accounting
Skills
Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central configuration and administration
Financial systems implementation and optimization
General ledger, reconciliations, and financial reporting
Process documentation and user training
Cross‑functional collaboration with technical teams
Knowledge
U.S. GAAP and standard accounting practices
ERP system architecture and financial data flows
Internal controls and audit readiness
Accounting automation and workflow design
Multi‑entity and operational accounting concepts
Ability to Implement Skills and Knowledge
Translate accounting requirements into scalable system configurations
Lead system implementations from design through production use
Ensure accuracy and integrity of integrated financial data
Identify and implement automation improvements
Serve as a long‑term system owner and internal subject‑matter expert
