Job Overview

We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Senior Accountant to manage financial operations within a contracting / construction environment. The ideal candidate will have strong knowledge of project accounting, cost control, and UAE financial regulations, with the ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee day-to-day accounting operations including AP, AR, GL, and bank reconciliations.
• Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements and management reports.
• Manage project accounting, cost tracking, and budget monitoring for multiple construction projects.
• Handle invoicing, progress billing, retention, and variations.
• Monitor cash flow, expenses, and financial planning.
• Coordinate with auditors for internal and external audits.
• Ensure compliance with UAE VAT regulations and timely VAT filing.
• Prepare payroll entries, WPS processing, and EOS calculations.
• Maintain fixed asset registers and depreciation schedules.
• Support procurement and commercial teams with financial data and cost analysis.
• Develop and improve accounting systems and internal controls.

Qualifications & Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
• CPA / ACCA / CMA preferred.
• Minimum 5–8 years of experience, preferably in contracting / construction / fit-out / engineering companies.
• Strong knowledge of project costing, job costing, and contract accounting.
• Proficiency in accounting software (Tally, SAP, QuickBooks, or ERP systems).
• Advanced MS Excel skills.
• Knowledge of UAE VAT laws and compliance.
• Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
