Senior Accountant / Head of Pakistan Office (U.S. Gas Station Operations)

Purpose of the Role

The Senior Accountant will lead the Pakistan finance office for RoadRunners Petroleum Marketing Co. This role is responsible for safeguarding financial accuracy, ensuring compliance, and producing monthly reporting packs by entity and by location. The candidate must have prior U.S. accounting exposure and a strong understanding of multi-entity accounting structures.

  • Manage accounting for multiple U.S. entities with independent books.
  • Supervise data entry staff and ensure daily accuracy in QuickBooks Desktop.
  • Reconcile POS sales systems (Clover, Verifone, Gilbarco) with bank deposits.
  • Maintain and reconcile vendor ledgers for U.S. suppliers, wholesalers, and utilities.

Compliance & Documentation

  • Set up and manage a Google Drive/Dropbox archive for invoices, leases, UST reports, tax files, and compliance records.
  • Track deadlines for licenses, permits, taxes, and environmental compliance.
  • Support U.S. accountants with audit preparation and tax submissions.

Reporting & Analysis

  • Prepare monthly P&L, balance sheet, and cash flow statements.
  • Produce detailed financial reporting by entity and by store location.
  • Deliver consolidated management packs for CEO and investors.
  • Highlight variances, shortages, and anomalies in reporting.

Leadership

  • Act as Head of the Pakistan Office for finance.
  • Train, supervise, and evaluate junior staff.
  • Ensure all financial records are audit-ready at all times.

Required Qualifications

  • Education: CA Inter / ACCA / ICMA (part or fully qualified).
  • Experience: 4–7 years in accounting, including work for U.S. clients/companies.
  • Systems: QuickBooks Desktop proficiency (non-negotiable).
  • Skills: Strong Excel reporting and English fluency (written + spoken).
  • Competencies: Integrity, leadership, attention to detail, ability to work under deadlines.

KPIs (Key Performance Indicators)

  • Accurate daily reconciliations (POS → Bank → QuickBooks).
  • On-time submission of monthly management pack.
  • 100% compliance with U.S. reporting and filing deadlines.
  • Successful setup of digital archive (Google Drive/Dropbox) with zero missing files.
  • Effective supervision of junior staff (error rates <5%).

Compensation & Career Path

  • Salary: PKR 220,000 – 240,000 per month.
  • Bonus: Annual performance-based.
  • Growth: Path to Finance Manager / Director of Finance – Pakistan Office as the team scales.
