THE ROLE


The Commissions Team Associate Specialist will be responsible for overseeing the calculating and processing of sales commissions for the sales team based on commission plans and sales performance. The team will ensure timely and accurate payments to the sales team and provide support for commissions-related inquiries. Commissions Associate Specialist should have strong attention to detail, and the ability to work effectively as part of the team



OPPORTUNITIES

  • You will Calculate sales commissions for individual sales representatives based on commission plans, sales performance, and applicable commission rates.
  • You will Review and verify sales data, including sales orders, contracts, and revenue reports, to ensure the accuracy of commission calculations.
  • You will Process commission payment advice accurately and in a timely manner, adhering to payment schedules and deadlines.
    Administer and maintain commission plans in the Commissions tool, including updating commission rates, thresholds, and eligibility criteria as needed.
  • You will Communicate changes to commission plans to sales representatives and provide training and support on commission-related policies and procedures.
  • You will Reconcile commission payments and accounting records to ensure the accuracy and completeness of commission transactions.
  • You will Respond to inquiries from sales representatives regarding commission calculations, payments, and policies in a timely and professional manner.
  • You will Communicate with Customers regarding Commissions inquiries and discrepancies, maintaining positive relationships.
  • You will Assist in month-end and year-end close processes, including accruals and reconciliations.
    Assist with ad-hoc projects and tasks as needed.
  • You will Prepare and analyze Commission reports, metrics, and key performance indicators (KPIs), providing insights and recommendations to management.
  • You will Assist with implementing and maintaining internal financial controls and procedures. Engage in the documentation and enhancement of processes.
  • You will Conduct any ad hoc analysis or reports based on business requirements.
  • You will Automate & simplify processes for Commissions, measuring, and tracking metrics.
  • You will Support special projects as requested by senior management on a periodic basis.


SKILLS

  • You should have Hold a Postgraduate degree in Commerce with approximately 4-5 years of experience the Finance function within the IT/Software Industry.
  • You should have Demonstrate a robust understanding of accounting principles.
  • You should have Ability to lead and manage a team effectively, providing direction, guidance, and support to commission team members.
  • You should have Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact effectively with internal and external stakeholders.
  • You should have Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., Tally, SAP, Oracle) and Microsoft Excel.
  • You should have Prior exposure to working in a Shared Service environment is advantageous.
