  • Designing and maintaining robust accounting systems
  • Leading month-end close and financial reporting
  • Implementing internal controls and approval workflows
  • Supporting audits and funder compliance
  • Building scalable financial processes and teams
  • Delivering executive-level financial insight and strategy

Every team member is trusted with real responsibility and empowered to make meaningful impact for both our clients and the firm.

As UltraPrecise continues to scale, we are building a world-class accounting organization, one that attracts top talent, rewards high performance, and creates long-term career growth for professionals who want to do serious work that matters.

Position Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled, proactive, and growth-oriented accounting professional to join our team at UltraPrecise Accounting. This role is designed for someone who thrives in complex environments, takes true ownership of their work, and wants to play a meaningful role in building and scaling a high-performing accounting firm.

In this position, you will serve as a key member of our accounting leadership team, working closely with clients and internal stakeholders to deliver exceptional financial operations, reporting, and strategic support. You will manage multiple client engagements, lead core accounting processes, and contribute to the development of scalable systems and best practices across the firm.

This is not a transactional role. You will be entrusted with real responsibility, real decisions, and real impact, both for our clients and for the future of UltraPrecise Accounting.

The ideal candidate is someone who brings strong technical accounting expertise, excellent judgment, and the ability to operate independently while collaborating within a fast-moving, high-expectation environment. You should be energized by building structure, improving systems, and solving problems, and motivated by being part of something that is actively growing.

This role offers significant opportunity for professional development, leadership growth, and long-term advancement as the firm continues to expand.

Key Responsibilities

Full-Cycle Accounting for Nonprofit and For-Profit Clients & Client Management

  • Manage a portfolio of ten to fifteen client accounts across multiple industries, with a strong emphasis on nonprofit organizations
  • Execute full-cycle accounting work including transaction coding, accrual-based classification, account reconciliations, and month-end close using QuickBooks Online, Dext, and Bill.com.
  • Perform and maintain complex allocations, including multi-program and grant-based allocations across our nonprofit client base.
  • Process, post, allocate, and reconcile payroll and fringe benefits
  • Reconcile all balance sheet accounts monthly, including AR, AP, loans, prepaids, fixed assets, and accrued liabilities
  • Prepare monthly financial statements and supporting schedules that are clear, accurate, and decision-ready.
  • Lead financial review meetings with clients via Zoom and provide advisory insights
  • Lead the annual 1099 filing process for all clients

Quality Control & Oversight

  • Review and correct work completed by staff accountants and offshore team members, ensuring all financials meet firm standards before delivery.
  • Identify and resolve errors, inconsistencies, and structural issues within client accounting systems.
  • Lead accounting cleanups, new client onboarding, and long-term account maintenance.
  • Enforce internal controls and consistency across all assigned client accounts.
  • Maintain and refine QC checklists, reports, and internal documentation

Team Collaboration & Process Improvement

  • Work side-by-side with junior staff, providing technical guidance and hands-on support.
  • Contribute to the development and refinement of internal workflows, documentation, and standard operating procedures.
  • Continuously improve processes to increase efficiency, accuracy, and scalability while maintaining exceptional client service.

  • Confident communicator able to manage client relationships directly

  • Clear growth path into Controller and CFO-level work for high performers
