The primary purpose of this role is to oversee and manage the development and implementation of DevOps strategies that align with the organization's goals. This involves setting up guidelines for the DevOps practice, supervising teams of engineers in multiple projects, ensuring effective project management, and collaborating with key stakeholders to drive continuous integration and delivery initiatives. Additionally, the role ensures that all projects adhere to established guidelines and best practices, providing leadership and guidance throughout the project lifecycle.

Core Activities Experience:

Experience in setting up a new DevOps capability and manage its evolution and operation and governance. Experience in selecting DevOps technologies and onboarding programs of work dependent on this capability.

Skills, Tools, and Systems Experience:

• Skills:

o Excellent communication and collaboration

o Problem-solving and analytical thinking

o Project management and organizational skills

o Expertise in CI/CD practices

o Infrastructure as Code (IaC)

o Scripting and programming languages (e.g., Python, Bash, Go)

• Tools:

o Jenkins

o Git/GitHub/GitLab

o Ansible, Puppet, Chef

o Docker

o Kubernetes

o Terraform

o Prometheus, Grafana

• Systems:

o Knowledge of AWS, Azure and Google Cloud ecosystems

o Excellent skills in Azure DevOps

o Excellent skills in OpenShift

o Linux/Unix operating systems

o Monitoring and logging systems (e.g., ELK Stack, Splunk)

o Version control systems (e.g., SVN)
