Senior Application Developer

Job Summary:

The Senior Application Developer will work with the Application Development Team to create dynamic designs for use in custom applications. The ABAP Developer will document user requirements and design, assess available technologies, and recommend solution options. The ABAP Developer must understand which components require changes to implement requested modifications.

Responsibilities:

Key Accountabilities:

• Create, maintain, and enhance SAP applications using SAP ABAP above NetWeaver 7.4
• Create and maintain technical specifications from functional requirements
• Collaborate with application developers and application development teams to create, design, update, and modify applications as requested
• Ensure new or updated applications have a high level of functionality while maintaining compliance with the company’s technology and risk standards
• Analyze business requirements to develop new applications
• Partner with other departments to identify needs to create or update custom applications for specific areas of business
• Review written code, validate testing, and manage code in databases
• Act as a key resource for application development
• Adhere to architecture standards when creating or modifying applications
• Quickly turn around requested enhancements and fixes
• Meeting all deadlines and produce stable solutions to applications
• Easily maintain solutions and leverage existing code wherever possible
• Provides 24x7 on-call support of production systems on a rotation basis in support of technical processes and interfaces

Education and Experience:

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science or related field
• 5+ years of experience with SAP in a retail environment
• Experience in the development of interfaces, conversions, and reporting
• ECC 6.0 hands-on experience utilizing ABAP like Workbench, DDIC object, BAPI, BADI, RFC, ALE/EDI, IDOCs, ALV Grids, SPROXY framework, Object Oriented programming, Performance Trace
• Knowledge of ABAP on HANA components CDS view, AMDP, SQL scripts and aware about developer for S/4 Hana Migration
• Aware of NetWeaver 7.4,7.5 new concepts and syntax, Code Inspector, ABAP Test Cockpit, ADT , Consuming SAP HANA objects in ABAP
• Experience in integration with SAP modules such as: POSDM, FI, MM, OTC, IS-Retail
• Good to Have understanding of SAP HANA and advance SAP features UI5/Fiori/Rest API
