Senior Assistant Vice President of Recruitment for Data and Analytics

Location: New York City (Hybrid)

Salary Range: $150,000 – $225,000

Role Summary

The Senior Assistant Vice President (SAVP) of Recruitment for Data and Analytics is responsible for leading the full talent acquisition strategy for this highly specialized area. This executive role sets direction, manages recruitment teams, and works closely with business stakeholders to meet organizational objectives through the proactive identification, attraction, and retention of top data and analytics professionals.

Responsibilities

  • Recruit, lead, and develop a high-performing recruitment team focused on data and analytics roles.
  • Design and implement innovative talent acquisition strategies to maintain a strong pipeline of candidates.
  • Partner with business leaders and HR to forecast hiring needs and define role requirements in areas such as data science, analytics engineering, and AI.
  • Oversee the full recruitment lifecycle while ensuring an excellent candidate experience.
  • Monitor recruitment metrics and use data to improve processes, report outcomes, and drive continuous improvement.
  • Lead employer branding initiatives and support diversity goals in data and analytics recruitment.
  • Manage relationships with external partners, agencies, and vendors for specialized sourcing.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies as well as legal and regulatory standards.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business, Data Science, or a related field; advanced degrees or certifications are preferred.
  • At least 10 years of recruitment experience, including a minimum of 5 years focused on data, analytics, or technology positions.
  • Demonstrated leadership experience managing recruitment teams at the senior or executive level.
  • Strong knowledge of the data and analytics talent market, role requirements, and technical sourcing practices.
  • Proficiency with recruitment technologies, applicant tracking systems (ATS), and analytics tools.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills.
