Job Title: Senior Associate Attorney – Trusts & Estates (Remote)

Location: Remote

Billables: 1,800+ hours/year target

Base Salary: $140,000 – $175,000 DOE

Total Compensation Potential: $180,000 – $225,000+ with billable hour bonuses and performance incentives

What You’ll Do

  • Draft and implement advanced estate plans and wealth-transfer strategies (GRATs, IDGTs, ILITs, CRTs, FLPs/LLCs)
  • Handle trust and probate administrations from intake through closing, including fiduciary guidance and risk management
  • Review, draft, and advise on planning instruments, transfer documents, and related tax filings
  • Take work directly from a Partner and manage matters with autonomy
  • Interface with clients, advisors, and fiduciaries, translating complex issues into actionable solutions
  • Coordinate with tax professionals on estate, gift, and fiduciary returns (Forms 706, 709, 1041, 541)
  • Participate in firm initiatives and contribute to client development efforts

What You Need

  • JD from an accredited law school; active California Bar in good standing
  • 8+ years of Trusts & Estates experience with strong focus on estate planning and trust administration
  • Ability to receive work directly from a Partner and consistently bill 1,800+ hours per year
  • Strong drafting, analytical, and client management skills
  • Experience with advanced planning techniques and fiduciary tax concepts (706/709/1041/541)
  • High integrity, ownership mindset, and ability to operate with minimal supervision

Work Model

Fully Remote — collaborate seamlessly with clients and colleagues nationwide without needing to be on-site.
