ABM is hiring a Senior Benefits Analyst to act as a functional and technical analyst responsible for supporting health and welfare benefits for all ABM team members. In this role, you will be responsible for participating on project teams, executing projects, as well as for providing day-to-day functional support of health and welfare benefits. Responsibilities include working with third-party health and welfare vendors to manage and resolve escalated issues, ensuring health and welfare payroll deductions are accurate, management of health and welfare related interfaces between ABM and other vendors. Collaboration with other team members including end users, vendors, payroll, accounting, HRIS, and IT. The Sr. Benefits Analyst will have an in-depth knowledge of health and welfare benefits administration.
This is a Hybrid Role (in-office Mon-Thu) based out of our office located at 14141 Southwest Freeway, Sugar Land, TX 77478.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
The Sr. Benefits Analyst will be responsible for support health and welfare compliance, including ERISA, HIPAA, COBRA, QMCSOs, Cafeteria plans, and ACA, eligibility, benefit deductions, plan documents, making substantial contributions to determining feasibility of goals/objectives, and projects or tasks.
Other responsibilities for the Sr. Benefits Analyst include:
- Compliance knowledge ensure our organization adheres to legal standards and in-house policies, fostering a culture of integrity and accountability.
- Monitor eligibility and work with third party vendor and HR to resolve issues
- Employee (team member) focus with empathy for their issues and urgent need for support in all departmental responsibilities
- Analyze, review, and update benefit deductions from vendor and ensure they are loaded in a timely manner to payroll systems each week,
- Owns refund process for health and welfare benefits
- Responsible for creation and management of testing including testing for OE, new vendors, and M&A activity
- Resolves escalated team member issues (Tier 2/3) in a timely manner with a high degree of discretion
- Responsible for creating and analyzing reports as needed for HR, Benefits Accounting, etc.
- Consistently demonstrate quality and effectiveness in work documentation and organization
- Responsible for employee data analytics, including but not limited to routine and ad hoc data analysis
- Proactively identify and resolve issues in a timely manner to deliver a high-level of service to internal customers
- Manage year end system processes
- Clear, concise and steady communication approach to workflow and any findings and ideas of improvement
- Mentor and train Benefit Analyst/Specialists on the team as needed
- Work with benefits administration vendor to ensure accurate administration of the system
- Update eligibility with benefits administration vendor based on requests from HR/Operations

Professional Competencies
Qualified candidates possess a bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, or related field with an emphasis in business or finance, or equivalent years professional/analytical experience related to the above-described duties.
Other requirements include:
- 7-10 years relevant experience in a health and welfare benefits related role.
- Demonstrated experience in successful implementation of benefits related technology solutions.
- Demonstrated experience with the project and time management.
Additional Desirable Qualifications:
- Project management skills: ability to balance multiple projects concurrently in a high paced environment.
- Demonstrated experience creating test plans and working with users in end-user testing
- Strong experience using Microsoft Excel, Word and PowerPoint
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to collect, organize, analyze, and disseminate significant amounts of information with attention to detail and accuracy, inclusive of data mining and ad hoc reporting.
- Ability to handle sensitive information with a high degree of confidentiality and discretion.
- Understand HR systems, processes and databases including but not limited to: Oracle EBS/HCM Cloud, JD Edwards, ADP Vantage
- Some experience with SQL (Structured Query Language).
- SHRM/CEBS/PHR or other certification
- Demonstrated strong and effective verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills within a large organization.
