The Senior Bid Manager is responsible for leading and managing the end-to-end bid process for strategic and high-value facility management opportunities. This role ensures the timely development of compliant, compelling, and commercially sound proposals that align with the company’s growth objectives and client requirements.


Working closely with cross-functional teams—including business development, operations, finance, procurement, legal, and technical services—the Senior Bid Manager oversees the preparation, review, and submission of RFIs, RFPs, and RFQs. The role plays a critical part in developing win strategies, ensuring bid governance, managing stakeholder expectations, and driving continuous improvement in the bidding process to enhance win rates and strengthen the company’s competitive positioning in the FM industry


Roles, Responsibilities, Duties


Lead End-to-End Bid Process

Oversee the full bid lifecycle, from opportunity identification and pre-qualification through to submission, negotiation, and post-bid clarifications.


Develop Winning Strategies

Formulate and drive win strategies, value propositions, and competitive differentiators aligned with client needs and business capabilities.


Lead Generation

Own and manage relationships with clients to generate new business leads and market opportunities.


Stakeholder Coordination

Collaborate with cross-functional teams—including Operations, Commercial, Procurement, Finance, HR, and Legal—to gather inputs and ensure the bid meets technical, commercial, and compliance standards.


Bid Planning & Scheduling

Create and manage bid timelines, resource plans, and deliverable schedules to ensure all submissions are completed accurately and on time.


Proposal Development

Prepare high-quality technical, financial, and commercial proposals tailored to RFP/RFQ/RFI requirements.


Content Management

Maintain a central library of pre-approved content, case studies, CVs, capability statements, and templates for efficient bid development.


Risk & Compliance Review

Assess bid risks and ensure all proposals adhere to company governance, client-specific regulations, and legal requirements.


Client Engagement

Act as a liaison with clients during the bid process to clarify requirements, respond to inquiries, and ensure mutual understanding of scope and deliverables.

Presentation & Pitch Support

Support or lead client presentations, clarifications, and interviews as part of the post-submission evaluation process.


Post-Bid Analysis & Reporting

Conduct win/loss reviews and lessons-learned sessions, capturing feedback and continuously improving future bid strategies and quality.


Team Leadership & Mentorship

Lead and mentor junior bid writers, coordinators, and contributors to ensure consistency, quality, and professional growth.


Market & Competitor Intelligence

Conduct ongoing analysis of FM market trends, competitor offerings, and pricing strategies to refine positioning in future bids.


CRM & Pipeline Support

Collaborate with Business Development to monitor and manage bid pipeline activities, track performance metrics, and support strategic pursuits.


Innovation & Best Practice Implementation

Drive continuous improvement by introducing best practices, automation tools, and innovative approaches to enhance bid efficiency and success rates.


Qualification:


  • Bachelor’s degree in business administration, Engineering, Facilities Management, Marketing, Commerce, or a related discipline is required.


  • A Master’s degree (MBA or equivalent) in Business, Strategic Management, or a relevant field is highly desirable and considered an added advantage.


Experience:


8 to 10 years of progressive experience in bid/proposal management, tendering, or business development within the Facility Management, engineering, or construction services sector.
