Job Summary

The Senior Business Analyst will serve as an internal Subject Matter Expert (SME) for the Multifonds system, supporting fund accounting, transfer agency, custody operations, and system integration initiatives. The role requires extensive expertise in asset management operations, system migration, fund structures, NAV cycles, regulatory compliance, and operational workflows. The ideal candidate will collaborate with IT, business, custodians, administrators, and external partners to ensure robust solutions, seamless integration, and process optimization across the asset wealth platform.

Key Responsibilities

1. Multifonds System Expertise

  • Act as the internal SME for Multifonds , supporting Fund Accounting and Transfer Agency modules.
  • Liaise with all internal stakeholders: IT teams (integration/migration) and Fund Accounting teams (training/support).
  • Troubleshoot system issues, coordinate fixes, and implement functional enhancements.

2. System Migration & Testing

  • Support and lead system migration from the existing platform to Multifonds.
  • Build detailed test cases , execute UAT , perform regression testing , and validate integration with core systems (Equation, Aurora, Summit, etc.).
  • Ensure seamless integration and robust end-to-end workflows across all connected systems.

3. Fund Accounting Responsibilities

  • Manage and validate NAV calculation processes.
  • Oversee GL structures, valuation/pricing feeds, corporate actions, reconciliations, and performance calculations.
  • Review and optimize expense models and daily accounting cycles.

4. Transfer Agency Responsibilities

  • Support operational processes including:
  • Investor dealing
  • Register maintenance
  • Trailer fees
  • Dividend processing
  • Swing pricing
  • Ensure proper controls and documentation are in place to maintain TA operational integrity.

5. Process Documentation & Workflow Management

  • Build and maintain operational procedures, SOPs, and workflow documentation related to fund accounting and transfer agency operations.
  • Ensure processes comply with regulatory requirements and internal controls.

6. Automation & Process Improvement

  • Propose and develop automation scripts (VBA, macros, Python, SQL) to streamline operational tasks.
  • Lead operational enhancement initiatives and drive continuous improvement across accounting and TA teams.

7. Stakeholder Engagement

  • Work with cross-functional teams including IT, risk, compliance, custodians, administrators, and regulatory bodies.
  • Provide expert-level guidance on fund structures, accounting treatments, settlement flows, and investor servicing.

8. Project Management

  • Manage or support project planning, execution, documentation, and reporting related to asset management system initiatives.

Required Skills & Experience

Experience

  • Minimum 12 years in asset management operations including fund accounting, fund administration, and transfer agency (mandatory).
  • Hands-on, extensive experience with Multifonds system across both TA and Fund Accounting modules (mandatory).

Fund Accounting Knowledge

  • Deep understanding of:
  • NAV cycles
  • Fund structures: UCITS, MMFs, ETFs, SICAVs, Cayman SPCs
  • Corporate actions, reconciliations, trade lifecycle
  • GL accounting and pricing models

Transfer Agency Expertise

  • Strong operational knowledge of:
  • Dealing & investor flows
  • Trailer fees and dividend servicing
  • Register management
  • Swing pricing

Product Knowledge

  • Strong understanding of equity, fixed income, ETFs, derivatives (Futures/Options), equity forwards, and other financial instruments.

Technical Skills

  • Advanced Excel & Access (VBA/Macros)
  • Strong working knowledge of SQL
  • Python or other coding languages (preferred)
  • Ability to develop automation tools/scripts

Regulatory & Compliance

  • Knowledge of:
  • UCITS
  • MMF reforms
  • FATCA/CRS
  • AML/KYC frameworks
