As a
Business Analyst / Senior Business Analyst
within the Product function of our digital insurance business, you will play a key role in shaping, launching, and optimizing innovative insurance products and digital experiences. You will work closely with Product Managers, Designers, Engineering, Operations, Underwriting, and Compliance to turn business needs into clear, actionable requirements that fuel scalable, user-centric digital insurance solutions.
This is a strategic role suited for an experienced analyst who understands the intersection of business goals, user needs, and digital product delivery, and can lead cross-functional alignment from concept to launch and beyond.
Key Responsibilities
Product Discovery & Definition

Collaborate with Product Managers to define product goals, value propositions, and success metrics.

Facilitate stakeholder interviews, customer research, and competitor analysis to inform product roadmaps.

Translate business objectives and customer pain points into well-defined product requirements, user stories, and acceptance criteria.

Research and analyze industry trends and customer feedback to identify areas of improvement.
Requirements Management

Lead end-to-end business analysis for new features and product enhancements across digital journeys (quote, buy, renew, claim, etc.).

Lead requirements gathering, user research, and stakeholder workshops to inform product strategy.

Develop functional and non-functional requirement documents, process flows, and business rules that support digital product delivery.

Drive backlog grooming, prioritization, and sprint planning sessions with cross-functional teams.
Cross-Functional Collaboration

Act as the primary bridge between business, product, tech, and design teams, ensuring clarity, feasibility, and alignment.

Work with UI/UX teams to ensure user experience considerations are embedded into product requirements.

Support QA and UAT by validating test cases against acceptance criteria and facilitating issue resolution.
Data Analysis & Insights

Analyze customer behavior, process data, and product performance to inform prioritization.

Assist in creating dashboards and KPIs to monitor product adoption, conversion, and experience gaps.
Process & Product Optimization

Use data insights, customer feedback, and operational metrics to identify optimization opportunities.

Contribute to backlog grooming, sprint planning, and product performance reviews.

Recommend and drive continuous improvement in digital processes and product operations.
Leadership & Strategic Contribution

Mentor junior BAs and contribute to BA best practices and frameworks within the product function.

Participate in go-to-market planning, internal training, and documentation to support product launches.

Support vendor evaluations, solution design workshops, and partnership integrations.
Key Qualifications
-
Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field. MBA is a plus.

7+ years of relevant experience in business analysis, preferably within insurance, fintech, or digital platforms.

Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments with cross-functional product squads.

Demonstrated success in contributing to or leading digital product development initiatives from ideation to launch and scaling.
Core Skills

Strong knowledge of product discovery, Agile/Scrum methodologies, and digital delivery practices.

Familiarity with customer journey tools (e.g., Miro, Figma) and backlog management systems (e.g., JIRA).

Proficiency in using tools like Jira, Confluence, Lucidchart, Figma (for flows), Excel, and analytics platforms.
-
Ability to work independently and influence stakeholders at all levels.

Familiarity with API-based products, data mapping, and digital insurance platforms is a strong plus.
-
Excellent verbal and written communication skills; able to distill complex information clearly.

Understanding of health or general insurance products (quote, bind, issue, claim).

Experience working in regulated environments or with compliance teams.

Comfort working in ambiguous, fast-evolving startup-like environments.

Product mindset with a focus on outcomes, not just deliverables.

Insurance domain expertise is highly desirable.
