Indiana University Health is seeking individuals who embody these values to join our Preoperative services team in the role of Senior Business Analyst. This position is a full time, onsite role (Monday – Friday, 8:00am – 5:00pm) located at Riley Hospital for Children, 705 Riley Hospital Dr, Indianapolis, IN


IU Health’s Perioperative Services encompass a broad network of highly specialized teams working together to deliver safe, seamless surgical and procedural care. The Operating Room (OR) provides advanced surgical services across multiple specialties, supported by the Pre‑Op and Post‑Op units that prepare patients for surgery and guide them safely through recovery. Sterile Processing plays a critical behind‑the‑scenes role by ensuring all surgical instruments are cleaned, sterilized, and ready for use. Perfusion supports cardiac and complex surgical cases by operating heart–lung bypass equipment and managing critical circulatory functions. Interventional Radiology delivers minimally invasive, image‑guided procedures that support diagnosis and treatment across many conditions, while MRI Nursing partners with radiology teams to ensure patients are safely monitored and supported before, during, and after MRI procedures. Together, these service lines form the backbone of IU Health’s surgical and procedural excellence.


Role Responsibilities


  • Supports the business initiatives by providing financial insight, analysis.
  • Develops, collects, analyzes, and reports financial related data in an on-going effort to increase overall productivity.
  • Develops and tracks key performance indicators to enhance the understanding of the business and to improve decision-making.
  • Analyzes and makes recommendations to optimize deployment, territory alignment and structure.
  • Analyzes product line sales and related financial metrics.
  • Prepares, distributes and ensures accuracy of daily, monthly, quarterly and annual performance reports to customers and internal stakeholders.

Reports to: Director-Clinical Operations


Candidate Qualifications

Candidates for the position will be evaluated according to the following criteria and competencies.


  • Bachelors Degree required. Business, Computer Science, Accounting or Economics degrees preferred.

  • 3-5 years of experience required. 5-7 years of experience preferred.

  • Experience in Preoperative services preferred.

  • Experience in healthcare analytics and/or health benefits preferred.

  • Proficient at using MS Office (Word, Powerpoint, Excel).

  • Skilled in using Access and SQL Server database including querying and report generation.

  • Requires analytical and financial capabilities, as well as some statistical background preferred.
