Job Summary:
We are seeking a results-driven
Senior Business Development Engineer

Utilities Sector
to support the growth of our utilities management business across
electricity distribution, water networks, and smart metering services
.
The role will focus on identifying new opportunities, developing proposals, supporting tendering activities, and building strong relationships with clients and stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities

Identify and develop new business opportunities within utilities management (electricity, water, and metering).

Lead market research, competitor analysis, and pipeline development.

Support the full tendering cycle: opportunity evaluation, bid strategy, technical/commercial coordination, and proposal submission.

Coordinate with technical, operations, finance, and legal teams to develop strong and compliant offers.

Prepare technical presentations, capability statements, and business proposals.

Build and maintain relationships with key clients, consultants, and partners.

Support contract negotiations and commercial discussions with clients.

Track and report BD performance, pipeline status, and forecast updates to management.
Requirements
-
Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering (preferred) or Mechanical Engineering.

5–7 years of experience
in Business Development within utilities, EPC, or infrastructure sectors.

Strong exposure to
electricity distribution, water utilities, and/or smart metering
is highly preferred.

Proven experience in tendering, proposal development, and client engagement.

Strong commercial awareness and understanding of contract structures.
-
Excellent communication, presentation, and stakeholder management skills.

Fluency in English is required.
