Senior Business Development Manager (Upwork)

We are looking for a Senior Business Development Manager with strong expertise in Upwork bidding and client acquisition. The ideal candidate will be responsible for generating high-quality leads, closing international clients, and building long-term business relationships through Upwork.

This role requires strategic thinking, strong communication skills, and proven experience in winning projects on Upwork.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage and grow the company’s Upwork profile
  • Identify relevant projects and submit high-quality proposals
  • Communicate with international clients and understand their business needs
  • Negotiate project scope, pricing, and timelines
  • Close deals and ensure smooth project handover to delivery teams
  • Maintain long-term relationships with clients for repeat business
  • Track proposal performance and improve win rates
  • Coordinate with technical and project management teams
  • Meet and exceed monthly and quarterly sales targets

Required Skills & Qualifications

  • Minimum 3 years of experience in Business Development
  • Strong Upwork bidding experience (mandatory)
  • Proven track record of winning and closing projects on Upwork
  • Excellent written and verbal English communication skills
  • Strong negotiation and client-handling skills
  • Ability to work independently and meet targets
  • Familiarity with IT services, SaaS, or software development projects (preferred)

Preferred Skills

  • Experience with other freelancing platforms (Fiverr, Freelancer, Guru)
  • Knowledge of CRM tools and sales reporting
  • Experience working with international clients
