The ideal candidate for the Construction Manager position will manage, oversee and coordinate all facets of the construction activities related to buildings, new and rehabilitation of capital improvement projects.
Position Description:
Manage construction activities to meet the requirements of the project scope, budget and schedule.
Plans, organizes, directs and reports construction management activities and progress to management and/or owner
Resolves complex construction project related issues, disputes, and disagreements
Review and respond to Submittals and Requests for Information
Coordinates with public agencies during construction to comply with project requirements
Performs day-to-day contract administration including assisting the Senior Project Managers in bid analysis, pre-construction meetings and related award coordinating activities
Reviews contractors’ construction schedule, submittals, correspondence, claims, and respond to contractor inquiries. Prepare narrative of findings, submit and present to management for decision making
Evaluate contract change orders and amendments for impact on budget and schedule.
Conduct construction/project site visits.
Provide daily work reports, weekly and monthly reports required by client.
Conduct preconstruction meeting, progress meetings and any additional meetings necessary for the project and develop meeting minutes and agendas.
We are seeking a Construction Manager to join our team! You will oversee project planning, scheduling, budgeting, and implementation.
Minimum Required Qualifications:
10 years experience in Construction Management of Industrial, Building, Water and/or Wastewater Treatment Plants or collection systems infrastructure.
BS or BA Degree in Architecture, Engineering, Urban Planning, Construction Management or a closely related field.
Possession of a valid Registered Professional Engineer or Certified Construction Manager (CCM) credential by the Construction Manager Certification Institute (CMCI), Preferred
Excellent oral and written communication.
Flexibility in schedule and transportation to work at multiple sites based on assigned schedule and duties
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
