Senior Consultant Cards Product

Role Description:

We are seeking an experienced consultant to support the strategy, design, enhancement, and growth of the debit card portfolio across retail and business segments. The role will focus on product proposition development, portfolio optimization, pricing, controls, customer experience, digital wallet readiness, and commercialization of card-based payment solutions.

Key Experience & Skill Set Requirements:

• Previous experience of working with Banks, Fintechs, Processors, Card Schemes or payment technology providers;
• Proven experience in managing debit card products or card portfolios, including product design, portfolio performance, and usage growth;
• Strong understanding of card lifecycle management, including issuance, activation, renewal, replacement, blocking, and closure journeys;
• Experience in defining product value propositions, pricing models, transaction limits, and fee structures for different customer segments;
• Good knowledge of digital wallet integration, tokenization, and push provisioning journeys for mobile-first card usage;
• Familiarity with e-commerce authentication, 3DS / Visa Secure-type flows, and emerging low-friction authentication models;
• Ability to analyze portfolio KPIs such as activation, spend, transaction frequency, usage mix, decline ratios, dormant cards, and customer retention;
• Strong understanding of fraud-risk controls, card controls, transaction monitoring, and customer experience trade-offs;
• Experience in coordinating with operations, technology, customer service, compliance, and scheme partners for product delivery and rollout;
• Ability to develop product papers, BRDs, presentations, business cases, and management updates.
• Strong commercial thinking with the ability to identify growth opportunities in card usage, digital acceptance, and customer engagement;
• Exposure to Visa, Mastercard, UnionPay, or domestic switch ecosystems;
• Experience with debit card portfolio revamps, business debit cards, or digital card controls;
• Hands-on familiarity with in-app card management and loyalty-linked debit propositions.

Qualification:

• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Marketing, Economics, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.

Experience Required:

• Minimum 8 years of relevant experience in cards product management, cards portfolio management, consumer banking products, or digital payments.

• At least 3 years of direct hands-on experience in debit card product design, launch, enhancement, or portfolio growth.

Location : Preferably on-site based at Lahore. However, work arrangement can also be considered on Hybrid model
