Senior Consultant SAP - HCM (Human Capital Management)

The Senior Consultant HCM is responsible for designing, configuring, and supporting SAP Human Capital Management processes to ensure accurate, compliant, and efficient HR operations. The role focuses on payroll accuracy, time management, employee data integrity, and seamless integration with finance and external systems within SAP (ECC/S/4HANA).

  • Design and configure SAP HCM modules including Personnel Administration (PA), Organizational Management (OM), Time Management, and Payroll.
  • Manage end-to-end data migration including employee master data, organizational structures, time data, payroll elements, and infotypes.
  • Ensure seamless integration with FI/CO (payroll posting), ESS/MSS portals, time & attendance systems, and external statutory bodies.
  • Deliver project lifecycle phases including design, configuration, testing (SIT/UAT), cutover, and hypercare support.
  • Execute payroll and time evaluation testing, ensuring zero critical defects impacting employee payments.
  • Maintain governance through compliance with labor laws, tax regulations, audit requirements, and internal controls.
  • Collaborate with HR, payroll, finance, and compliance teams to align processes and resolve issues.
  • Drive continuous improvement through automation, process optimization, and adoption of S/4HANA and Fiori solutions.
  • Provide training, knowledge transfer, and mentorship to team members and end users.


Skills Required

  • SAP HCM configuration (PA, OM, Time, Payroll).
  • Payroll schemas/PCRs; time evaluation rules; quota generation.
  • HCM data migration via LSMW, Migrate Your Data, BAPIs/IDocs.
  • ESS/MSS, Fiori, Portal roles.
  • HR reporting, analytics, and statutory reporting.
  • Testing management (Unit, SIT, UAT).
  • Basic debugging and ABAP trace interpretation.


Eligibility Criteria

Education: Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Information Technology, Finance, or a related field.

Experience: 7+ years of experience as an SAP HCM Functional Consultant. At least two full lifecycle SAP implementations or migrations (ECC to S/4HANA or similar) and strong experience in HCM configuration including Payroll, Time Management, and cross-module integration with FI/CO and external systems.

Relevant SAP Certification is preferred.
