Senior Consultant SAP -MM (Materials Management)

Contract Type: Project Assignment

The Senior Consultant MM is responsible for designing, configuring, and supporting SAP Materials Management processes to ensure efficient procurement, inventory management, and supply chain operations. The role focuses on maintaining data accuracy, optimizing procurement cycles, and enabling seamless integration with finance and logistics functions within SAP (ECC/S/4HANA).

• Design and configure SAP MM solutions including purchasing (PR/PO), inventory management (GR/GI), MRP, valuation, and account determination.
• Lead end-to-end data migration including material master, vendor master, inventory balances, open POs, and contracts.
• Ensure seamless integration with FI/CO, SD, PP, QM, WM/EWM, and PS/PM modules.
• Deliver project lifecycle phases including design, configuration, testing (SIT/UAT), cutover, and hypercare support.
• Develop and execute test scripts, manage defect resolution, and ensure quality assurance standards.
• Maintain governance through documentation, transport management, and compliance with audit and internal control requirements.
• Collaborate with procurement, warehouse, finance, and cross-functional stakeholders to align processes and resolve issues.
• Drive continuous improvement through automation, process optimization, and adoption of S/4HANA capabilities and Fiori apps.
• Provide training, knowledge transfer, and mentorship to team members and end users.

Skills Required

• SAP MM configuration (end‑to‑end).
• Data Migration tools: LTMC, LSMW, Migrate Your Data (Fiori), BAPIs/IDocs.
• Inventory & valuation management.
• Source-to-pay processes (RFQ → PO → GR → IR).
• P2P automation and workflow.
• Transport management (ChaRM).
• Test management and defect lifecycle.
• Basic ABAP debugging (reading logs/dumps).

Eligibility Criteria

Education: Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Engineering, Information Technology, Accounting, or a related field.

Experience: 7+ years of experience as an SAP MM Functional Consultant. At least two full lifecycle SAP implementations or migrations (ECC to S/4HANA or similar) and strong experience in MM configuration, data migration, and cross-module integration (FI/CO, SD, PP, QM, WM/EWM, PS/PM).

Relevant SAP certification is preferred.
