CH2M HILL - Senior Contracts Administrator - Abu Dhabi, UAE
As a Senior Contracts Administrator, you will support the procurement and contracting functions for a large scale sour gas development project in the UAE. The role involves working in a Project Management Consultant capacity to ensure that the EPC contractor and related parties adhere to contractual agreements and standards.
Basic Function & Scope
- Assist client in the evaluation of EPC contractor contract comments and negotiate needed finalizations.
- Evaluate and recommend subcontractors and vendors, ensuring the EPC contractor uses only approved vendors.
- Administer the EPC contract between client and EPC contractor.
- Administer the PMC contract with the client on behalf of CH2M HILL.
- Administer other client contractor contracts that support project execution.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist client in EPC bid evaluation and contract finalization.
- Maintain a detailed tracking register for clarification requests and responses from bidders.
- Review and recommend vendors and subcontractors proposed by EPC bidders.
- Endorse client findings regarding priced commercial evaluation.
- Assist in negotiation meetings.
- Prepare recommendations for contract award.
- Review and approve EPC contractor contacting and procurement plans and procedures.
- Monitor and support ongoing contractual activities.
Basic Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering or Business Administration from an accredited university with at least fifteen (15) years of relevant experience in the oil & gas industry.
- Experience on large scale oil & gas and petrochemical capital projects.
- Experience as a member of an EPC team.
- Demonstrated knowledge of contracting and procurement practices and principles used by major oil & gas companies.
- Ability to manage contractual and commercial activities to preserve owner/client interests.
- Experience in composing and managing major EPC contracts.
- Experience managing procurement programs for major EPC projects.
- Ability to work in a diverse cultural environment.
- Demonstrated interpersonal and team building skills.
- Strong written and oral communication skills.
