Senior Director, IT Infrastructure & Operations
Location: Remote US
Base Salary Rate: $221,697 - $260,820 per year

About This Role
Kidde Global Solutions is seeking a Senior Director, IT Infrastructure & Operations to lead the strategy, execution, and continuous evolution of enterprise infrastructure and operational services across the company. This role owns the reliability, scalability, security, and financial performance of KGS’s global IT infrastructure and operations. The Senior Director will modernize the I&O function, strengthen service delivery, and ensure technology capabilities directly enable business growth, resilience, and operational excellence. As a key member of the IT senior leadership team, this role helps define and execute enterprise IT strategy while delivering measurable business value through strong governance, disciplined execution, and modern operating practices.
Key Responsibilities
Strategy & Leadership
- Define and execute the mission, vision, and multi year strategy for Infrastructure and Operations aligned to business and IT priorities.
- Serve as a trusted advisor to IT and business leaders, translating business needs into scalable, cost effective I&O solutions.
- Lead organizational and operating model transformations to improve speed, reliability, and customer experience.
Operational Excellence
- Deliver highly reliable, secure, and resilient infrastructure services across compute, network, cloud, workplace, and platform operations.
- Establish and mature IT Service Management practices, including incident, problem, change, asset, and configuration management.
- Implement governance frameworks that support audit readiness, risk management, compliance, and operational transparency.
- Drive continuous service improvement programs with clear metrics, outcomes, and accountability.
Financial & Vendor Management
- Own the I&O budget, balancing growth, modernization, and cost optimization.
- Develop and execute an I&O sourcing strategy, managing strategic vendors and managed service providers.
- Actively reduce technical debt while improving service quality and financial predictability.
Modernization & Innovation
- Lead adoption of modern practices including cloud, automation, self service, DevOps, SRE, and platform based operations.
- Monitor industry trends and emerging technologies to inform roadmap decisions and investment priorities.
- Standardize platforms and services to drive scale, efficiency, and operational simplicity.
Resilience & Risk
- Strengthen enterprise resilience through proactive reliability engineering, redundancy, and disaster recovery planning.
- Ensure infrastructure capabilities support security, regulatory, and compliance requirements.
- Partner closely with Cybersecurity and Enterprise Architecture to embed security and resilience by design.
People & Culture
- Build, inspire, and develop a high performing global I&O team across onshore, nearshore, and offshore locations.
- Foster a culture of ownership, accountability, and continuous improvement.
- Align team objectives to enterprise outcomes using KPIs, OKRs, and outcome driven metrics.
Basic Qualifications
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Business Administration, or a related field.
- 10+ years of IT experience, including large scale infrastructure and operations.
- 5+ years leading diverse, global teams across multiple geographies.
- 3+ years in senior leadership roles with responsibility for strategy, execution, and organizational development.
- 3+ years managing managed service providers and sourcing agreements.
Preferred Qualifications
- Strong experience with modern delivery and collaboration tools.
- Working knowledge of Lean, Agile, and modern operational practices.
- Proven ability to operate effectively in fast paced, ambiguous environments.
- Proven leader who inspires teams with a clear vision aligned to business outcomes.
- Demonstrated success driving enterprise change, including cloud adoption, DevOps, SRE, and operating model transformation.
- Strong operational and financial acumen with the ability to execute complex strategies.
- Experience simplifying and scaling infrastructure in complex, global environments.
- Effective at leveraging hybrid resource models, including nearshore and offshore teams.
- Ability to design and implement self service and automation to improve speed and user experience.
- Strong partner to vendor management and sourcing teams for third party governance.
- Data driven leader who uses metrics to measure performance, outcomes, and continuous improvement.
Compensation and Benefits
Individuals may be eligible for an annual performance bonus based on both individual and company’s performance. The final compensation for this position will be set based on the individual’s knowledge, skills, and experience as it relates to the job requirements.
