Senior Director of Marketing and Communication
Position Summary
The Senior Director of Marketing and Communication will lead the strategic development and execution of integrated marketing, brand, media, public relations, and corporate communication initiatives across the organization. The role is responsible for strengthening brand equity, enhancing public image, driving customer engagement, and ensuring consistent, high-impact communication aligned with organizational priorities and long-term objectives.
This position requires a commercially minded and strategically driven leader with strong experience in brand stewardship, stakeholder communication, campaign management, digital transformation, and cross-functional collaboration. The successful candidate will oversee the end-to-end marketing and communications agenda, ensuring all initiatives support business growth, reputation management, and market positioning.
Key Responsibilities
Strategic Leadership

Develop and lead the overall marketing and communication strategy in alignment with the organization’s vision, objectives, and growth priorities.

Brand Management

Lead the development, implementation, and governance of brand architecture, identity, tone of voice, and visual standards.

Marketing Strategy and Campaign Management

Direct the planning and execution of integrated marketing campaigns across traditional, digital, social, and experiential channels.

Oversee audience segmentation, market positioning, and campaign optimization to maximize reach, engagement, and return on investment.

Lead the annual marketing calendar and ensure effective prioritization of initiatives across business needs.

Monitor market trends, customer behavior, and competitor activity to identify opportunities and inform strategic decision-making.
Corporate Communication and Public Relations

Lead internal and external communication strategies that support organizational messaging, leadership visibility, and stakeholder engagement.

Oversee corporate announcements, executive communication, speeches, presentations, press materials, and key institutional messaging.

Manage public relations efforts, media engagement, and communication planning for major events, launches, and strategic initiatives.

Protect and enhance the organization’s reputation through proactive communication planning and disciplined message control.
Digital and Content Leadership

Oversee digital marketing strategies, including website content, social media, performance campaigns, email marketing, and online reputation management.

Lead content strategy development to ensure compelling, relevant, and audience-specific messaging across platforms.

Ensure effective use of analytics, digital tools, and customer insights to improve campaign performance and communication effectiveness.

Stakeholder Management

Build strong working relationships with executive leadership, internal departments, external agencies, media partners, and other key stakeholders.

Collaborate closely with commercial, leasing, operations, HR, and other relevant functions to ensure aligned messaging and coordinated execution.

Act as a senior point of contact for high-profile communication matters and sensitive brand issues.
Team Leadership and Governance

Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing marketing and communications team.

Establish clear performance expectations, governance standards, and operating models for internal teams and agency partners.

Oversee marketing and communication budgets, procurement, and vendor performance to ensure cost-effective delivery and high-quality outcomes.

Ensure compliance with internal policies, regulatory requirements, and approved brand and communication standards.
Reputation and Crisis Communication

Develop communication protocols and response frameworks for issues management and crisis communication.

Support leadership in handling sensitive public, media, or stakeholder matters with professionalism and strategic judgment.

Candidate Profile
The ideal candidate is a strategic and influential marketing and communications executive with a strong record of leading brand transformation, institutional messaging, and high-impact campaigns within complex organizations. They must combine strategic thinking with operational discipline, creative leadership with commercial awareness, and strong executive presence with excellent stakeholder management capability.
Qualifications and Experience

Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Public Relations, Business Administration, or a related field.

Master’s degree is preferred.

Minimum of 12–15 years of progressive experience in marketing and communications, with at least 5 years in a senior leadership role.

Proven experience leading integrated marketing, brand, and corporate communication functions within large or complex organizations.

Strong background in both strategic planning and hands-on execution across multiple communication channels.

Experience in retail, real estate, consumer-facing sectors, or diversified organizations is highly preferred.

Experience working in Saudi Arabia or the GCC is strongly preferred.
