Senior Drafting Engineer

NCRi Solutions is looking for a Senior Design Engineer for one of the biggest Conglomerate clients based in UAE wo works within the Design Team to deliver high-quality, error-free drawings for Low Voltage (LV) and control relay panels. Reporting to the Senior Design Engineer, this role ensures that all submissions lead to on-time approvals, efficient ordering, and smooth project execution in alignment with design inputs.

Key Responsibilities:

• Release drawing outputs according to the established design schedule.
• Prepare error-free drawings and submit them on time to minimize rework.
• Focus on activities that drive customer satisfaction and meet project requirements.
• Execute engineering and drafting for LV Switchgear panels, main distribution boards, sub-main distribution boards, and final distribution boards.
• Draft for motor control centers, variable frequency drives, and soft starters.
• Create General Arrangement (GA) drawings (including front, rear, and side views), Single Line Diagrams (SLD), and detailed schematic diagrams.
• Prepare Basis of Design (BOD) documents, equipment details, wiring schedules, and manufactured drawings.
• Develop templates, base catalogues, GA symbols, and schematic blocks to streamline drafting processes.
• Assist the project, QA/QC, and IT teams on technical tasks and job requirements.
• Handle multiple projects simultaneously while prioritizing tasks to ensure efficient completion.
• Manage and support engineering schedules and commitments.
• Coordinates closely with the Senior Design Engineer, Project Department Managers, Production Managers, and Quality/Testing Engineers.
• Participates in design review meetings with clients and consultants.

Qualifications and Experience

• Education: Electrical and Electronic Engineer.
• Product Knowledge: Familiarity with major manufacturers such as Schneider and SIEMENS.
• Regulatory Awareness: Knowledge of major regional specifications for Middle East government bodies (e.g., DEWA, ADDC, EWA, SEWA, FEWA).

Technical Skills

• Drafting Software: Sound knowledge of AutoCAD, SEE Electrical, Revit, BIM, and MicroStation.
• General Tools: Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).

Experience

• Duration: Minimum of 8–10 years.
• Specialization: Extensive experience in drafting for LV/CNR drawings.
