Senior Draftsman

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Joinery Draftsman with strong technical expertise in custom joinery, woodwork, and carpentry production drawings. The ideal candidate must understand the full joinery workflow—from concept to shop drawing to manufacturing—ensuring accuracy, clarity, and practicality in every detail.

Key Responsibilities

• Joinery & Carpentry Drawings
• Produce highly detailed shop drawings for doors, wardrobes, kitchen cabinets, wall cladding, reception counters, vanities, pergolas, wooden ceilings, and custom furniture.
• Prepare sectional details, exploded views, ironmongery details, assembly drawings, and production schedules.
• Ensure all drawings reflect actual joinery fabrication methods, construction techniques, and standard material thicknesses.
• Project Coordination
• Review architectural and ID drawings, extracting relevant joinery scope.
• Coordinate with project managers, factory foremen, and site teams to clarify dimensions and requirements.
• Provide cut lists, material lists, and hardware specifications aligned with production capabilities.
• Technical Accuracy & Standards
• Cross-check all measurements and ensure drawings comply with UAE joinery standards, fire-rated door specifications, and material compatibility.
• Update drawings based on site measurements, client comments, and consultant approvals.
• Identify potential production challenges early and propose practical solutions.
• Documentation & Support
• Maintain drawing logs and ensure all revisions are clearly tracked.
• Support CNC programming by preparing clean, accurate files when needed.
• Prepare detailed shop drawing packages for consultant submission and factory use.

Requirements

• 5–8+ years experience as a Joinery Draftsman (UAE/GCC experience strongly preferred)
• Deep knowledge of wood types, veneer, MDF, HPL, laminate, hardware, and accessories
• Strong understanding of carpentry joinery techniques (dovetail, mitre, dowel, groove, tenon, etc.)
• High proficiency in AutoCAD (3D knowledge is a plus)
• Ability to read and interpret architectural & interior design drawings
• Experience in fit-out joinery, site execution coordination, and manufacturing procedures
• Excellent attention to detail, accuracy, and time management
• Ability to work under pressure and deliver multiple drawings within tight deadlines
