Senior Electrical Engineer

Job Summary:

The Senior Electrical Engineer is responsible for overseeing the design, installation, testing, commissioning, and maintenance of electrical systems for projects. The role ensures compliance with project specifications, local authority regulations, safety standards, and quality requirements while coordinating with multidisciplinary teams to deliver projects on time and within budget.

Key Responsibilities:

• Review, design, and approve electrical drawings, layouts, and specifications.
• Supervise installation of electrical systems including LV/MV, power distribution, lighting, earthing, grounding, and ELV systems.
• Ensure compliance with project requirements, QCS, IEC, BS standards, and local authority regulations.
• Coordinate with consultants, subcontractors, suppliers, and other engineering disciplines.
• Conduct technical evaluations, material submittals, shop drawings, and method statements.
• Monitor project progress, resolve technical issues, and provide engineering solutions.
• Oversee testing, commissioning, and handover of electrical systems.
• Ensure implementation of health, safety, and environmental (HSE) standards on site.
• Prepare progress reports, technical documentation, and as-built drawings.
• Provide guidance, mentoring, and supervision to junior engineers and site staff.
• Support value engineering and cost optimization without compromising quality.

Qualifications & Requirements:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering (mandatory).
• Minimum 12 years of relevant experience in electrical engineering works.
• Strong experience in building construction / infrastructure / MEP projects.
• Familiar with QCS, KAHRAMAA, IEC, BS, and international standards.
• Proficient in AutoCAD, MS Office, and engineering software.
• Excellent problem-solving, communication, and leadership skills.
• Ability to work under pressure and meet project deadlines.
• PMP certification is an advantage.
• MMUP/UPDA (Grade "A") certification is Highly preferred.
