• Assume sole responsibility for assigned Technical Safety engineering work scopes

• Carry out technical safety discipline work within a project team, supporting the project team for field development of oil and gas production facilities and renewable energies projects.

• Plan, budget, organize and control a segment of the technical safety engineering deliverables for the project.

• Prepare technical safety deliverables for all project phases of oil and gas and renewable industries.

• Ensure that all work is completed without compromise to quality and is delivered according to the project schedule.

• Provide direction and guidance on all Structural engineering technical queries raised by either internal or external parties.

• Liaise with the Client’s Engineering, Operations and Maintenance staff as required to ensure a consistent approach to project completion.

• Promote safe behavior at all times and demonstrate “Safety Leadership”

• Provide sound technical advice and solutions to a diversity of technical problems within the discipline

• Co-ordinate with other disciplines during all stages of design development, construction, pre-commissioning, and start-up

• Assist in the coordination of all activities related to technical safety engineering design.

• Identify any areas of concern with respect to progress and/or quality and recommend corrective actions as required

• Record the lessons learned from previous contracts in order to implement corrections in future contracts

• Plan and maintain manpower and other resources required for smooth operation of the technical safety team for project and tender execution.

• Estimate man-hours and materials for delegated aspects of work.

• Conduct Engineering audits, risk assessment and training as required

• Prepare and reviewing engineering studies, design drawings and documents.

• Plan, organize and supervise the activities assigned to technical safety discipline subordinates to ensure that all work within a specific area / project / tender of technical safety engineering activity is carried out in accordance with department and project work instructions, procedures, process manual and project specific requirements, an efficient and procedurally compliant manner.

• Perform other related duties or assignments as directed on order to contribute to the continuous operations of the department. Support EPC engineering department and technical safety Discipline initiatives.

• Travel short term or long term as per project requirements within or outside UAE adhere to DDWD travel or relocation policy as applicable.

• Strong analytical skills required to review all project information and ensure accuracy as well as identify issues, concerns and potential mitigations.

• Experience with cost control including project estimating, forecasting and cost management including reporting

• Demonstrated ability to handle multiple projects concurrently and meet deadlines.

• Demonstrated ability to organize, prioritize and successfully execute tasks in accordance with business objectives.

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Word, Excel and Outlook

• Project management skills.

• Fully trained and knowledgeable with relevant Safety and Occupational Health & Safety standards.
