Senior Environmental Project Manager – Grid Resilience & Renewables

Job Overview
We are seeking a Senior Environmental Project Manager to support critical initiatives in grid resilience and renewable energy. This individual will lead environmental investigations, oversee complex projects, and guide teams in delivering sustainable solutions for large-scale infrastructure and clean energy programs.

Duties

  • Lead and manage environmental projects from concept through completion, with emphasis on grid resilience and renewable energy.
  • Mentor junior staff through coaching, performance feedback, and technical guidance.
  • Oversee field investigations, ensuring accurate data collection, analysis, and reporting.
  • Manage project budgets, schedules, and deliverables to meet client expectations.
  • Prepare proposals, pursue new business opportunities, and maintain client relationships.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams across offices and disciplines.
  • Deliver technical reports, presentations, and project documentation to stakeholders.
  • Utilize software tools such as SWMM, GIS, AutoCAD, Civil 3D, MicroStation, and ArcGIS for project design and analysis.
  • Develop project schedules and manage resources effectively to meet project milestones.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams including civil engineering, geotechnical engineering, and environmental consulting professionals.
  • Ensure adherence to environmental laws and regulations set forth by the EPA.
  • Prepare technical reports, proposals, and presentations for stakeholders.
  • Oversee construction activities related to environmental remediation projects.
  • Provide mechanical knowledge as needed for equipment selection and project execution.
  • Engage in research activities to support innovative solutions in environmental management.

Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Engineering, Geology, Hydrogeology, or related field (Master’s preferred).
  • 10+ years of experience in environmental investigations, remediation, and compliance.
  • In-depth knowledge of EPA, CERCLA, and RCRA regulations.
  • Professional Geologist (PG) or Professional Engineer (PE) license required.
  • Demonstrated experience managing projects, teams, and client relationships.
  • Strong communication skills with proven ability to write and present technical material.
  • Excellent analytical and multitasking abilities with strong attention to detail.
  • Willingness to travel locally for site visits and client meetings (valid driver’s license required).

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $128,000.00 - $179,000.00 per year
