Position Overview
As a Senior Estimator, you will be responsible for developing cost estimates across various project stages, ensuring alignment with client expectations and Parsons standards. You ll contribute to risk evaluation, scope definition, bid analysis, and support ongoing cost monitoring and reporting activities.

Key Responsibilities

* Develop detailed estimates for infrastructure and road projects using standardized WBS
* Perform material take-offs, quantity calculations, and labor assessments from drawings and BOQs
* Prepare Basis of Estimate (BOE) narratives to clarify methodology, pricing assumptions, and exclusions
* Analyze bids, vendor quotations, and historical cost data for benchmarking and validation
* Coordinate with engineering, procurement, and contracts teams for pricing inputs and scope alignment
* Review contract modifications and assess cost and schedule impacts
* Support preparation of commercial documentation, cost plans, and client presentations
* Oversee database updates with project-specific cost data, inflation indices, and local market trends
* Lead or participate in internal estimate reviews and provide guidance to junior estimators
* Ensure compliance with Parsons project procedures, estimating best practices, and client requirements

Candidate Requirements

* Bachelor s degree in Civil Engineering or Quantity Surveying
* Minimum 8 years of experience in infrastructure project estimation, with at least 3 years in the UAE
* Expertise in estimation software such as CostX, MS Excel, AutoCAD, and/or MicroStation
* Strong understanding of civil construction contracts, specs, and commercial documents
* Proven ability to lead estimation packages for roads, earthworks, utilities, and site development
* Excellent numerical, analytical, and presentation skills
* Fluent in written and spoken English, with strong reporting capabilities

Preferred Qualifications

* Knowledge of UAE-specific market rates, labor norms, and contract forms (e.g., FIDIC)
* Experience with mega-projects or large-scale government-funded infrastructure programs
* Familiarity with BIM-based estimating workflows or 5D estimation tools
