Senior Manager - Technology - Senior Business Analyst

Qualification Profile

  • Full time bachelor’s degree in finance, Business Administration, Computer Science, or a related field. Master’s degree or equivalent is preferred.
  • Certified Business Analysis Professional (CBAP) or equivalent.
  • Certification in Financial Risk Management (FRM) or related certification is advantageous.
  • Scrum Master certifications.

Experience

Minimum of 7-10 years of experience as a Business Analyst, with a focus on clearing and settlement operations. Proven experience in the Indian Clearing Corporation environment.

Job Responsibilities

Key Responsibilities:
  • Requirement Gathering & Analysis: Elicit, document, and validate business requirements for clearing and settlement processes, including trade confirmations, margin calculations, risk management, and default procedures.
  • Process Improvement: Identify inefficiencies and recommend solutions to optimize clearing and settlement operations. Implement enhancements in trade reconciliation, risk assessment, and settlement workflows.
  • Stakeholder Management: Collaborate with external stakeholders such as clearing members, regulatory bodies (e.g., SEBI), and technology providers and internal stakeholder for commodity derivatives, operations, settlement, legal, risk to ensure alignment with business objectives and regulatory requirements.
  • Data Analysis: Perform in-depth analysis of clearing and settlement data to identify trends, anomalies, and areas for improvement. Generate actionable insights to support decision-making.
  • Compliance & Risk Management: Ensure that all clearing, and settlement processes comply with relevant regulations and industry standards. Address compliance issues and manage risks related to default management and settlement failures.
  • Project Management: Lead and support projects related to clearing and settlement system enhancements, including system upgrades, process automation, and regulatory changes. Track project milestones, manage timelines, and report progress to stakeholders.
  • Documentation: Create and maintain comprehensive documentation, including process maps, functional specifications, and user guides. Ensure documentation is up-to-date and accessible.
  • Training & Support: Provide training and support to users and stakeholders on new processes, systems, and tools. Facilitate workshops and knowledge-sharing sessions.
