Senior Facade Draftsman

Facade Design & Drafting

• Develop detailed 2D and 3D drawings of facade systems such glass, metal, cladding, curtain walls, etc., from concept to construction.
• Create technical drawings, elevations, sections, and shop drawings in compliance with project requirements.
• Assist in material selection, detailing, and integration of facade systems while ensuring performance and cost-effectiveness.
• Conduct feasibility studies to evaluate design concepts based on performance, constructability, and budget constraints.

Project Coordination

• Collaborate with architects, structural engineers, and contractors to integrate facade systems within overall building design.
• Work closely with external consultants, suppliers, and subcontractors to ensure compliance with specifications and project schedules.
• Support procurement and fabrication teams by providing accurate and clear technical drawings.

Technical Support & Problem-Solving

• Provide technical assistance to project teams to resolve facade-related design and installation challenges.
• Review and approve shop drawings, mock-ups, and material samples to ensure alignment with design intent.
• Conduct structural and thermal performance assessments of facade elements when required.

Quality Assurance & Compliance

• Ensure facade designs comply with industry standards, building codes, and safety regulations.
• Participate in on-site inspections and audits of facade installations, identifying potential issues and recommending corrective measures.
• Maintain documentation of technical specifications, reports, and design revisions.

Innovation & Sustainability

• Stay updated on emerging facade technologies, materials, and construction methods.
• Contribute to sustainable facade designs, ensuring energy efficiency and compliance with green building certifications e.g., LEED, BREEAM
• Assess energy performance and assist in incorporating passive design strategies into façade systems.

Team Collaboration & Development

• Work closely with design teams to ensure cohesive project execution.
• Support junior draftsmen and technical staff by providing mentorship and design guidance.
